In response to the new Nike Free campaign, our team was tasked to build a fun, engaging experience to create buzz around the product.
The team first came up with a microsite experience where we would showcase a video with 2 athletes matched up against each other to do a cool move in Nike Frees.
We would switch out the video every couple of days and users would vote for a winner during that period.
However, given the fact that it's supposed to be a promotional microsite, a long-term tournament did not quite fit.
So I suggested a Hot or Not game, where users would come in, view matches of videos, vote for one and just check out how others voted.
In addition to that, I suggested that we create a section for users to upload their own videos and engage them to take an active role in the campaign.
The clients responded well to my ideas and I went into visualizing the space in wireframes.
